Ok, so you are obviously curious about who we are. Well, nothing bad about that. This is what we want to tell you about us:
“We”, this is Kathy and this is Marcus …and this is our vehicle, the ChangJiang 750 (with some plastic surgery).
My name is Yin Qiuyue (尹秋月). My English name is Kathy. I am Beijinger and grow up in Beijing where it is a big and development super fast capital of China. From I was a little girl, I had traditional Chinese communism education. In fact I am an uncontrolled people and curious everything, and I am a quiet and active coalition.
After I was born, Beijing started only child policy. I was that lucky one, because I have big brother already. I didn’t feel alone. I love Beijing, there are a lot of my childhood of happiness and my friends.
And then I started my adventure. I moved to HongKong with my husband (Marcus Grahl). We lived there and worked there. That was my first time to live in a new city and everything new. People, language, custom, climate, food, traffic everything is different. I started from knowing the way, daytime was ok, but in the evening was a little bet challenge. A few times I called my husband when I was outside in the evening. I told him: husband, I get lost again, and he was laughing at me. Just let me take taxi to home.Yep, that’s easiest resolvent how to find home. Yes that sound a joke. But it happened in our life, and then I remembered the lights and the buildings, learning by doing after some time I knew HongKong very well.
When we decided to move back to Germany. How? When? The long journey idea was born from my husband. And this website was born too.
well, i guess i am “almost harmless”. kinda relaxed. try to see the ‘small things’ and wonder how they work within the ‘big world’. life is so big and fascinating. there are these rare moments when it just gets me and i am overwhelmed and realise: we are the ‘small things’. and sometimes i am full of anger watching us …destroying! it seems to be so human…
i guess my most annoying question is “why?”! even i am beyond my 1st half, i still bug people with “why?”. most surprising: some people are annoyed cos they have no answer. -> no stupid questions, only stupid answers!
oh and if all that was a little too serious (sorry deep inside i am german): i do enjoy life! and just recently i’ve even heard of something they call humor. people give me attributes like sarcastic, good listener, rebellious, thinking (maybe this is how they came up with my chinese name: 葛思睿), goal oriented (although recently they disappeared) …ha, who believes that? (references upon request.)
i would call myself lazy, optimistic, sarcastic, searching and less mature than i am supposed to be. …and always asking; “why?”
